Silvretta Arena Tirol: a true paradise for skiers and snowboarders
Last weekend I’ve traveled to Ischgl and enjoyed the Silvretta Arena, a very interesting and challenging ski resort area in Tirol which offers a huge range of pistes (238km) at snow-sure altitudes. Around 45 modern lift and cable car systems perfectly interlink Ischgl (Austria) and Samnaun (Switzerland). Skiing in two countries, the ‘Schmugglerrunde’ (smugglers’ circuit) Gold is unique. It is one of the longest ski circuits in the world with 35.7 km of slopes. Don’t forget to check out the Ischgl Snowpark powered by JEEP. Along with new rails, boxes and obstacles, the set-up has been fine-tuned, to make the fun factor even greater.
Happy ski instructor at the Skischule Schneesport Akademie Ischgl
My trip remembered me of my great experience working last year as a ski instructor at the Skischule Schneesport Akademie Ischgl. Staying in Ischgl for a longer time, gave me the opportunity to get to know the area even better, and with our special skipass we could be the first on the slopes (hey, hey, as a morning person this is awesome!) and enjoy the atmosphere of this typical Austrian village great for winter holidays. Want to book a ski or snowboard lesson at the official Skischule? Visit the website of Skischule Schneesport Akademie Ischgl.
One of the top skiing areas with winter holiday season till the start of May
Over and over again, this ski region has been ranked among the top ten skiing areas. Numerous are the reasons to spend your winter holidays in Ischgl. The Silvretta Arena, which unites the Ischgl skiing area in North Tyrol and the Swiss Samnaun area, is snow sure and offers perfect conditions for skiing. The opening of the ski season will be celebrated in Ischgl with the Top of the Mountain Opening Concert and the crowning finale – the Top of the Mountain Concert. These many highlights in the season turn this Tyrolean ski area into one of the most popular holiday destinations every year.
